How I Practice

If you are coming for massage, a tuning fork treatment, or classes in Tai Chi and Qi Gong, then some of the following does not apply.

I consider consultation as part of our first phone call (no charge).  (For privacy reasons, I do not discuss details in e-mails.)  I send you a patient package that includes Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Treatment Guidelines, Risks & Benefits, Consent Forms, and a Patient History Intake Form.

I usually treat once a week for a few sessions. Then you take a break for a month to allow your body to continue its healing. I send a follow-up post card, where you indicate the current state of your health.  We then schedule another appointment, if needed.

Healing can be a slow process. It varies with individuals and how ready people are to make changes in their life.  Chronic conditions are not going to get better overnight.  Sometimes it takes awhile to notice significant improvement.  When that level is reached, it also may last quite awhile before a maintainance treatment is needed.

I feel you know your body best. I respect your choices in what you feel you need. When you are ready, I will try to help you to the best of my ability.

I have a home office in a suburban wooded area.  I strive to make it as non-toxic as possible:  natural flooring of bamboo and tile, natural plant and mineral based paints, organic and natural cleansers, cotton sheets and robes.  I use only the best needles and supplies.
